Roses catapulted to all corners

Editor:

Just had to comment on the great news coming to us from The New Era the past two weeks:

So glad to see that the young people were able to do a stage performance. Even though I had to miss it, I still was happy to see it was being done.

The “Huskies” are busy on all fronts; praise for those working so determinedly to uphold community encouragement.

Huge thanks to the family willing to help get more work done for parks and pets.

For the safety booms installed at Lewis Creek Park swimming area; thank you, County Parks leadership.

Thank you to the Police Department for working to keep the traffic controlled. I have experienced multiple cases of speeding on Main Street. It is sad to watch drivers ignore the warning (flashing) speed indicator telling them they are going too fast.

To those paying attention it is so important, parking on Main is trying enough without being harassed by drivers speeding because they can!

I understand about needing to do something worthwhile about the elderly and debilitated bandstand at Sankey Park, and I too wish it did not have to be destroyed. Wonder if it would be possible to have pieces of it sold to those of us who want to remember all the good times it was being used for community gatherings over the years?

I know that is wishful thinking and would require more effort and time than I could give; however, it is still a wish I could see happen anyway.

I do not get to participate always in happenings, but this is my hometown and I support my local businesses as much as I can afford to.

Thank you to all of you who take the time to work in our town and those who lead them.

Sweet Home is a lovely town and we all should be glad to share and help.

Respectfully,

Bonnie J. Neal
