He was born Jan. 24, 1949, to Jacqueline Augusta (Forgey) and Clifford Alexander Adams in Monterey Park, Calif. He was raised in California.
He met Debbie when they were teenagers and they got married June 1970 in Pasadena, Calif. After they married they lived in California until 1974 when they moved to Eugene.
