Ruth Esther Coyer, 87, of Sweet Home, died May 28, 2012.
She was born Sept. 11, 1924 in Bliss, N.Y. to Rupert and Mary (Barnhardt) Woodworth.
She met Malcolm Coyer and they were married a year later, on March 1, 1947.
Originally, they came from upstate New York and later settled in the Blue Ridge Mountains and North Carolina before moving to Dallas. They relocated to Sweet Home in 1995.
Mrs. Coyer was a member of the Junction City Church of God Seventh Day congregation. She enjoyed spending time with her family, as they were the most important thing in her life.
She is survived by her husband, Mack Coyer; daughter Virginia Pecora of Eugene; sons Norman Coyer of Oak Ridge and Calvin Coyer of Sweet Home; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held June 4 at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel, with burial following at Union Cemetery in Crawfordsville.
