Ryan LeRoy Rowe, 35, a longtime resident of Sweet Home, died Dec. 19, 2019 at his home in Christmas Valley.
He was born Jan. 29, 1984 in Lebanon to Gary Arthur Rowe and Lori Ann Strickler.
He graduated from Sweet Home High School in 2002.
He lived in the Sweet Home/Lebanon area most of his life.
Mr. Rowe moved to La Pine seven years ago before buying a home in Christmas Valley a year ago.
He worked as an equipment operator at Entek before moving to LaPine and starting his own business as a handyman. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sweet Home.
Mr. Rowe enjoyed gardening, rock hounding, fishing, hunting and remodeling his home and property in Christmas Valley. He loved his pets; dogs, cats, rabbits and fish.
He is survived by his fiancé, Kiley Rikala of Christmas Valley; daughter Hailie Rowe of Christmas Valley; parents Gary Rowe and Lori Strickler of Sweet Home; and grandmother Virginia Strickler of Sweet Home; siblings Kristi of Redmond, Jennifer of Sweet Home, Julie of Lebanon and Jerohn of Sweet Home; and numerous extended family members.
Donations may be made to one of the two “Go Fund Me” pages created by friends and family to help Kiley and Hailie stay in their home and to assist Mr. Rowe’s parents in paying for the funeral expenses.
