12:51 a.m. – Nathan Allen Deffenbaugh, 37, cited for driving while suspended, careless driving and driving uninsured, 1420 Meadowlark Lane.

10:14 a.m. – Caller reported that someone just slashed an employee’s tire, 621 Main St., Thriftway. Report taken. Value about $175.

1 p.m. – Zachary John Parker, 28, arrested for second-degree criminal mischief, 26876 Rowell Hill road. Cited and released.

5:05 p.m. – Thomas William Barr, 23, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, entrance to Wagon Wheel Mobile Home Park. Cited and released.

5:12 p.m. – Donald Wayne Ames, 50, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, for failure to comply on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass (owes seven days in jail) and for seven counts of unlawful departure and on a Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass, 1890 Kalmia St. Transported to Linn County Jail. Caller reported that a male had forced himself into her apartment wanting to use the phone. The male was intoxicated. The caller said she forced him out, and he was now a couple of apartments down.

5:40 p.m. – Caller reported finding a syringe in the bathroom, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Officer seized it for destruction.

Sept. 28

7:49 a.m. – Caller reported someone broke into the house and stole a gun safe and guns valued at $13,000, 900 block of 27th. Report taken.

8:12 a.m. – Jeremy Michael Hicks, 33, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of third-degree theft, Albany. Transported to Linn County Jail.

11:49 a.m. – Rodney Gene Ballweber, 46, arrested for second-degree criminal trespass, 1769 12th Ave. Cited and released.

Sept. 27

4:27 a.m. – Fire alarm, 1920 Long St., School District 55 Central Office. Unable to locate fire.

10:07 a.m. – Caller reported a gray station wagon parked at Shea Point. Caller was concerned it may belong to someone who was having a medical problem in the restroom. Officer located a deceased female. Report taken. Investigation revealed nothing suspicious.

1:03 p.m. – Caller reported an ongoing problem with fuel being siphoned from caller’s vehicle, 1300 block of Clark Mill.

4;11 p.m. – Caller reported a theft, 610 Main St., Dan Dee Sales. Report taken. Property valued at $6.99.

5:28 p.m. – Jeffrey Alexander McNees, 20, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of possesison of meth, Lebanon warrant for failure to appear; Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended, 2210 Larch. Transported to Lebanon Police Department.

9:16 p.m. – Caller reported a large white cooler laying near the stop sign, 43rd and Osage. Property seized and placed in found property.

11:14 p.m. – Linda Evelene Kennedy, 23, cited for driving uninsuerd, 18th and Willow.

Sept. 26

11:10 a.m. – Jay Lamar Humphries, 49, arrested on Albany warrant for failure to appear on original charge of trespassing, 3130 Main St. Transported to Albany Police Department.

1:25 p.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into her vehicle, 1400 block of First. Report taken. Nothing stolen.

1:42 p.m. – Caller brought a pair of glasses he found in the parking lot into the Sweet Home Police Department, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Placed in found property.

2:23 p.m. – Caller reported that a staff member was hit in the face by a student, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report to be forwarded to Department of Human Services.

2:25 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of beer, 2405 Main St., Circle K. Report taken. Beer valued at $2.

5:25 p.m. – Kristina Anne Ferrell, 20, cited and released in field by Oregon State Police on Sweet home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree criminal trespass.

Sept. 25

12:38 a.m. – Tyler R. Burtts, 53, cited for driving while suspended, 200 block of Highway 228.

12:18 p.m. – Brian Lee Lindsay, 25, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on original charge of fourth-degree assault (owes five days in jail), 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Transported to Linn County Jail.

12:33 p.m. – Kevin Dewayne Williams, 40, arrested on McCurtain Count, Okla., warrants for two counts of possession of a controlled substance, driving while suspended and failure to maintain security, 1820 Tamarack St. Transported to Linn County Jail.

4:14 p.m. – Caller reported the theft of a 12-string Rogue guitar from her house, 1000 block of 38th. Report taken. Value about $100.

5:24 p.m. – Caller reported finding rat poison on her porch, and she did not put it there; and she is concerned for the safety of her animals and children, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Information noted.

8:01 p.m. – Caller reported seeing a cougar in her yard, 1300 block of Clark Mill. Information passed to Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Sept. 24

10:14 a.m. – Caller reported a juvenile just broke into his house, 900 block of 27th. Report taken. Stolen property worth $3,400.

2 p.m. – Caller reported seven dead trees in a vacant lot nearby, 2900 block of Harding. Two are about to fall over onto fences. Referred to code enforcement officer.

3:54 p.m. – Nolan Andrew Carruth, 27, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, Washington County. Cited and released.

6:27 p.m. – Caller reported that some of his son’s belongings were stolen from his high school locker during football practice, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High school. Report taken. Property valued at $210.

6:53 p.m. – Caller reported that her daughter’s iPod Touch was stolen during soccer practice, 880 22nd Ave., Sweet Home Junior High. Report taken. Device valued at $200.

6:59 p.m. – Caller reported his bicycle stolen, 1540 Main St., Safeway.

9:43 p.m. – Trevor Alden Groff, 39, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of driving under the influence, Lebanon. Cited and released.

Sept. 23

12:02 a.m. – Brian Anthony Fox, 21, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, Clackamas County. Cited and released.

8:32 a.m. – Caller reported he had video of someone stealing $3 from the tip jar, 1209 Main St., Report taken.

9:04 a.m. – Caller reported that someone broke into his camp trailer, 1800 block of Yucca. Report taken. Damage estimated at $1,000, and $750 in property stolen.

12:22 p.m. – Caller requested an officer pick up a syringe, 4200 block of Main. Officer seized syringe for disposal.

1:53 p.m. – Malachi Randy Wyatts, 14; Cory Thomas Stafford, 15; and Tristan L. Lawdermilt, 14, referred to Juvenile Department for second-degree criminal trespass, 1641 Long St, Sweet Home High School.

2:26 p.m. – Patrick Lee McNees, 19, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on a traffic citation and charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, Long near 12th. Cited and released.

3:39 p.m. – Kristopher Scott Clark, 22, arrested on Lincoln County warrant for probation violation and Sweet Home warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft, A&W parking lot. Transported to Lincoln County Jail.

5:08 p.m. – Jimmy Leon Coonrod, 61, arrested for placing an offensive substance on highway or property, 1439 Main St., Rio Theater. Caller had reported a male urinating on the side of the theater.

5:31 p.m. – Mark Daniel Guiley, 22, arrested for third-degree theft, 1540 Main St., Safeway. Cited and released.

6:06 p.m. – Caller reported a neighbor seeing a cougar at 3 a.m. in the morning in another neighbor’s yard, 3500 block of Juniper. Information passed on to U.S. Department of Agriculture wildlife biologist.

9:23 p.m. – Kevin Shelton Santana, 42, arrested on Sweet Home warrant for failure to appear on original charge of violation of city ordinance, 1000 block of Long.

Sept. 22

6:50 p.m. – Caller reported finding a baggie of white powder on the floor at Safeway, 1540 Main St. officer seized it for disposal.

7:21 p.m. – Christopher William Jurica, 19, cited and released in field for second-degree criminal trespass, 2903 Green River Road.

Sept. 17

2:55 a.m. – Eldawna Brianne McKee, 33, arrested for driving under the influence, 12th and Long. Cited and released.

8:39 a.m. – Caller reported that a male hit him before school, 1641 Long St., Sweet Home High School. Report taken.

9:04 a.m. – Caller reported that a telephone connection box had been taken apart between Ninth and 12th on Nandina. Officer secured box the best he could and notified CenturyLink.

11:12 a.m. – Caller reported his debit card had been used by someone other than him, Sweet Hoem area. Report taken.

1:20 p.m. – Lisha Leann Price, 32, turned herself in on a violation of release agreement, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released.

Sept. 16

2:45 p.m. – Caller reported a male subject just robbed him, Long near Sweet Home High School. Caller did not see a weapon but saw the suspect reach into his back pocket like he was retrieving a weapon. Report taken.

3:59 p.m. – Caller reported that her son skipped school and was under the influence of marijuana, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Officer counseled juvenile for his actions.

4:02 p.m. – Caller reported that neighbors were piling their things onto her property, 1200 block of Fourth. Referred to code enforcement.

4:57 p.m. – Caller reported dogs barking continuously in the area, 200 block of Hawthorne. Referred to code enforcement.

7:09 p.m. – Caller reported that a male hit her in the face at Sankey Park. Male had hit several subjects during the day. Report taken.
