Samaritan system names three new chief officers

The former CEO of Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, Becky Pape, is now the new CEO of Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, the company announced last week.

Pape was one of three Samaritan Health Services leaders promoted to the chief executive officer position at their respective hospitals, effective last week.

Marty Cahill was named CEO at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital and Lesley Ogden, MD, has assumed the CEO position at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital in Lincoln City.

All three have served as chief operations officers of their respective hospitals since June 2013.

Larry Mullins, DHA, president and CEO of Samaritan, announced the appointments this month.

“Each of these executives has done outstanding work while serving in their respective interim roles, and their promotions reflect Samaritan’s confidence in their leadership,” Mullins said.

Pape has been with Samaritan since 1987. She has held positions of progressive responsibility at Samaritan-affiliated hospitals in Corvallis, Lebanon and Albany, most recently as CEO of Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital and COO of Good Samaritan concurrently.

Cahill joined Samaritan in 2007 and has held positions of progressive responsibility since then. Most recently, he served concurrently as COO in Lebanon and as CEO at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital.

“This is an exciting time to be in Lebanon and I’m honored to serve as CEO,” Cahill said. “We have had many major developments this past year on our campus and look forward to next year as we expand our Emergency/Surgery departments at our hospital. We’re in a good position to take care of east Linn County’s health needs into the future and I’m looking forward to continuing our work with our staff and communities.”
