Sarrah Lucia Norsworthy, 93, of Sweet Home, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, in Lebanon.
She was born July 13, 1932, in Chester, Okla., to Earl Ray and Cynthia Annabelle (Covington) Shotwell.
Sarrah lived a full and meaningful life dedicated to caring for others. She worked proudly as a nurse — a career that spanned decades —c ontinuing to serve patients with compassion and skill until she was 76 years old.
Her strength, humor, quick wit and her love for her family inspired everyone who knew her.
For the past 13 years, Sarrah made her home in Sweet Home, where she became a cherished member of the community. O
ne of her favorite places was The Point Restaurant, where owner Michael lovingly delivered her Saturday evening meals for four years — a simple kindness that brought her great happiness.
Sarrah was the proud mother of five children: Rick Deckard, Gary Deckard, Tammy Tyler, Cyndi Taplin and Darlynn Lantznester.
She was grandmother to Brandon Deckard, Cory Deckard, Lance Deckard, Garrit Enoch, Daniel DaSilva, Briana Deckard, Sabrina Deckard, Nick Tyler, Nate Tyler, Tana Tyler, Taran Tyler, Cody Taplin, Brian Lantznester, Ricky Lantznester and Aaron Lantznester and great-grandmother to 21.
Her greatest joy in life was her family, as she cherished every moment spent with them. Her days were filled with laughter, love, and the warmth of her quick wit and sharp mind.
Sarrah’s legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
Final burial will be at Gilliland Cemetery, with a reception to follow at The Point in Sweet Home, one of her most beloved places.
