Scott Harer

Sept. 20, 1960 – March 29, 2015

Scott Lee Harer, 54, of Sweet Home died Sunday, March 29, 2015.

He was born Sept. 20, 1960 in Casa Grande, Ariz. to Robert P. and Marjorie L. (McKeel) Harer.

His family moved to Oregon in 1962 where Mr. Harer attended school, graduating from Sweet Home High School in 1979.

He worked at Triple-T Lumber Co. until its closing. He attended Linn-Benton Community College, where he became a diesel mechanic and went to work for Morse Bros/Knife River, becoming their shop foreman.

Mr. Harer learned to enjoy the outdoors and loved to spend hours hiking and exploring when he was a boy. His love for his paintball family grew into his love for his motorcycle family, the both of which got him out of the house.

Everyone he worked with was one of his kids. He always signed off with: “Love you guys. Be Safe.”

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert P. Harer; and grandson Cody Jones.

A “Celebration of Life” for family and friends will be at a future date.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
