The Sweet Home Community Foundation has begun its annual grant cycle and will accept applications through Feb. 28.
The foundation’s goal is to provide funding to a wide variety of projects and activities that provide lasting improvements to the community. Grants are given in the following categories: Children and Families, Education, Livability, and Arts and Culture. Due to reduced revenue, grant awards are limited to $250 to $500 so as to assist as many community projects as possible.
Grant applicants must be a 501(c) 3 or other qualified tax-exempt organization or the proposed project must be implemented in affiliation with such an organization.
Grant application packets are available for download at http://www.sweethomecommunityfoundation.org. Completed applications must be returned to the Sweet Home Community Foundation, P.O. Box 24, Sweet Home, OR, 97386, by 5 p.m. on Feb. 28.
This year, funding for the Foundation is being solely provided through local businesses and individuals with support assistance from the Oregon Jamboree.
Grant award recipients will be announced in March.
