The Sweet Home City Council last week ratified a three-year contract with Police Department employees, increasing wages by 3 percent in the first year.
The contract is retroactive and the 3-percent increase is effective as of July 1, 2016. A 2-percent increase will take effect on July 1, and a 1-percent increase will take effect on July 1, 2018.
