Adolph Hitler’s last courier, Armin Lehmann, will be the featured speaker at the 23rd Annual Geneological Workshop at 6 p.m. on March 14 at the Sweet Home Genealogical Society library at the corner of 12th Street and Kalmia Avenue.
From April 20 to 30, 1945, Lehmann, a child soldier, found Hitler to be merely feet away, perhaps several inches on several occasions. Eva Braun gave him a glass of water and a few kind words.
He is the author of “Hitler’s Last Courier,” the story of his induction into the youth movement in the 1930s through the years of World War II.
His book will be available for purchase.
There will be a $5 charge for those not attending the two-day workshop.
The workshop begins at 9 a.m. on March 14 and runs through 3 p.m. on March 15 at the Sweet Home Genealogical Society. Admission is $20 for both days or $12 for one day. For members prices are $15 and $8 respectively.
Persons may call 367-5645 for more information.
