SH man arrested at drug bust

Apparently unfortunate timing resulted in the arrest of a Sweet Home man, who arrived at the location of a drug bust on McDowell Creek Road Thursday morning, Dec. 17.

According to Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley, at approximately 7:20 a.m., the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Linn Regional S.W.A.T. team and Linn Drug Task Force, served a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 39800 block of McDowell Creek Drive in Lebanon.

They found Richard Charles Sell, 47, and Eileen Helen Scott, 61, at home on the property.

Among the items seized from the property were dealer amounts of methamphetamine, $1,289 in U.S. currency, a pistol, illegally possessed prescription medication, suspected stolen property, digital scales, packaging material, drug records, and drug paraphernalia.

While investigators were processing the property for evidence, William Leon Pace III, 39, of Sweet Home, arrived at the location.

Investigators searched Pace’s vehicle and located user amounts of methamphetamine as well as a digital scale and a loaded pistol, Riley said.

Pace was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.

Sell was arrested and charged with unlawful delivery and possession of methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Scott was arrested and charged with unlawful delivery of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
