Linn County deputies arrested a Sweet Home man for allegedly injuring his infant child last week.
Joseph James Thompson, 21, of Sweet Home was arrested for first-degree assault and first-degree criminal mistreatment.
At 7:48 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office 9-1-1 Center received a call regarding a 6-week-old male infant who was having difficulty moving and had suspicious injuries.
Medics from the Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District responded and transported the infant to Sacred Heart Medical Center, RiverBend in Springfield, where he was treated and released.
