SH man charged in Heaven ‘Angel’ King’s death

A Sweet Home man was charged last week in Lane County in the death of Heaven Raynell “Angel” King, 36, of Sweet Home.

Austin Louis Rolfe, 33, was indicted on July 24 in Lane County Circuit Court for murder and second-degree abuse of a corpse.

The indictment accuses Rolfe of murdering King and then unlawfully and intentionally removing, carrying away and otherwise abusing her corpse on July 9.

At arraignment on July 25, Rolfe pleaded not guilty to both counts.

The case has not been assigned to a judge yet, so future court appearances have not been set yet, said Patty Perlow, chief deputy with the Lane County District Attorney’s Office.

Rolfe has been held at Linn County Jail since July 9 on a charge of second-degree assault in a Springfield case. He pleaded not guilty in that case on July 21.

A Facebook account with Rolfe’s name says that he is from Eugene and lives in Sweet Home, he attended Lane Community College and is a caretaker.

His most recent post said, “I love u Hun. Mrs. Heaven.King.Rolfe.”

The account also includes King among friends.

Hikers reported finding King’s body on Forest Road 2212 in the Umpqua National Forest, about 38 miles east of Interstate Five and Cottage Grove on July 9.
