A Sweet Home man was ejected from his vehicle and seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on Crawfordsville Drive near Holley on Thursday.
Sweet Home medics transported Ryan Joe Richards Holley, 38, to Samaritan Regional Medical Center by ambulance with serious injuries. Medics also transported a passenger with minor injuries.
Linn County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the crash at about 8:17 a.m.
Holley reportedly saw four deer, swerved and over-corrected, crashing into a bus shelter and over an embankment, said Sgt. Flint Lebard. Holley was ejected through the sun roof as the vehicle went over the embankment.
Holley was cited for careless driving, driving while suspended and no insurance, Lebard said.
He also was cited on two Sweet Home warrants for failure to appear on original charges of third-degree theft and second-degree theft.
