Police discovered James Doyle Varner, 59, of Sweet Home Friday morning dead of natural causes when they responded to a report of deceased body in the field at the intersection of Clark Mill Road and Highway 20, the field in front of TiSquared.
Varner worked in maintenance at TiSquared, said Penny Leland, Sweet Home Police Department communications supervisor. He normally went to work at 4:30 a.m. Other employees arrived Friday and did not see him.
As the sun came up, and they went outside, they spotted Varner’s body in the field and contacted police at approximately 6:35 a.m., Leland said.
All indications are that the cause of death was a massive heart attack and nothing of a suspicious nature, Leland said.
Varner’s body was transported to Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
