A Lebanon man was arrested Saturday night, Dec. 9, after his pickup crashed into a house on Hayden Drive.
Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley said his deputies responded at 10:25 p.m. to the reported non-injury motor vehicle crash on Hayden Drive, west of Lebanon.
When deputies arrived, they found a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup crashed into a house. The vehicle drove through the front window and came to rest in the living room. Only the rear portion of the pickup was sticking out of the house.
“Fortunately, just prior to the crash, the residents had gone to bed and were not in the front portion of the house,” Riley said.
Deputies identified the driver as Haven Austin Hansen, 22, of Lebanon and his passenger as Leif Jacob Erickson, 27, of Sweet Home.
Deputies determined alcohol was a factor in the crash. Riley said Hansen’s blood alcohol content was almost three times the legal limit of .08.
Hansen was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, and driving while suspended misdemeanor. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
The Lebanon Fire Department assisted the family in boarding up the front portion of the home.
