SH student to get Comcast scholarship

Andrew Winslow of Sweet Home has been named one of 55 repients of the 2010 Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program presented by Comcast Corp. to Oregon and southwest Washington students.

“We’re thrilled to award scholarships to the best and brightest high school seniors in the communities we serve,” said Charisse Lille, Vice President, Community Investment of Comcast Corporation and Executive President of the Comcast Foundation.

The winners will be honored at a ceremony at the Rose Garden Rose Room on June 5, with Sen. Ron Wyden.

Since the program’s inception in 1999 there have been over 13,300 scholarship winners totaling more than $13.4 million.
