Shannen Skye Kyriss, 41, formerly of Sweet Home, died April 5, 2018 in Monument.
She was born June 22, 1976 in Lebanon to Clarence and Donna Kyriss.
She grew up on a mink farm in Sweet Home and attended Holley School and Sweet Home High School. She also attended Mt. Hood Community College, where she earned a nurse’s assistant degree.
Ms. Kyriss met Chuck Hatch and moved to Port Orchard, Wash., where their daughter Daeja was born. She took the responsibility for the care of Chuck’s grandparents until their death.
She moved to Grant County in 2017 and provided assistance for her ailing mother and father. At the time of her death she lived in Monument and was engaged to Earl Binger.
Ms. Kyriss had many friends who knew her as a very loving, giving and thoughtful person. She loved quilting, fishing, cooking and serving others.
Ms. Kyriss is survived by her daughter, Daeja Hatch of Washington; father Clarence Kyriss of Mount Vernon; mother Donna Kyriss of John Day; brothers Jeremy Lowe of Washington and Gabriel Kyriss of Idaho; and sisters Sondra Kyriss and Jessica Campbell, both of Lebanon.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 22, at Living Word Christian Center, Hwy. 26, in Mount Vernon.
