Throughout
the summer, the SHARE Tourism Committee has been quietly observing an
abundance of exemplary customer service.
Although
it was extremely difficult to narrow it down to just these few, the
committee felt that these front-line employees truly embodied what it
means to “Know Your Sweet Home,” said Erin Regrutto, a member of
that committee.
The
main characteristics that the committee was looking for included the
following:
nFind out what the customer wants.
nGet the customer what they want accurately, politely, and
enthusiastically.
nGo the extra mile for the customer.
Each
of the following people will receive a pair of three-day general
admission tickets to the Oregon Jamboree and be entered into a Grand
Prize drawing to be held later in August.
The
business will receive a “You Know Your Sweet Home” certificate to
display.

n Melissa from Corner Cup – “Melissa provided great customer service
with a friendly demeanor and great attitude! She was very patient and
went above and beyond for the customer.”
n Chris Adams from Sweet Home RV – “Chris was attentive to every
question that needed to be answered to make sure I fully understood
the amenities available for each RV.”
n Patty Witt from The Point – “Patty gave us great service
throughout our entire meal. Every time I eat there from now on, I
will request her as my server. She had a positive attitude and made
sure we enjoyed our experience.”
n Jamie Snyder from Sweet Home Florist – “I needed specific floral
arrangements for an upcoming event. Jamie asked me detailed questions
to ensure I had the perfect arrangements to match my ideas.”
nJanie Tuller from Steelhead Fitness- “Janie’s outgoing and
welcoming character helped me feel at ease in the gym. She informed
me on different aspects of fitness to ensure I was comfortable and
excited about each workout.”
n Jessie Clayton from Sweet Home Choppers – “Jessie was helpful
and attentive to my concerns when I was inquiring about purchasing a
chopper. I felt that he was knowledgeable about each bike I was
looking at and I can’t wait to buy one.”
n Shara Tagen from All-Star Pizza – “Shara was extremely welcoming
from the second we walked in the door. She went out of her way to
ensure we had a clean place to sit, even though she seemed busy, and
made sure to thank us as we left.”
n Glenda Melson from Cut Loose – “Glenda was very friendly during
my appointment. She made me feel comfortable, confident, and excited
about my hair cut.”
The
SHARE Tourism Committee is a collaborative effort between the Sweet
Home Economic Development Group and the Sweet Home Chamber of
