Jared Huenergardt, a paramedic, was named the Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance’s Firefighter of the year Saturday night during the department’s annual awards banquet.
Paramedic Mike Severns was the district’s Employee of the Year and won the Pride and Ownership Award.
Lt. Wes Strubhar was Rescue Technician of the Year, and Medic of the Year went to Paramedic Adam Hummer.
Firefighter Greg Mahler earned three awards, including Engineer of the Year, the Medal of Gallantry and Keith Gabriel Humanitarian of the Year. He also received recognition for 25 years of service.
Lt. Chad Calderwood was named Officer of the year, and firefighter Josh Starha was Rookie of the Year.
The district recognized Capt. Dave Trask for 40 years of service.
