A Sweet Home High School graduate is one of new new principals at Catholic schools around the state.
Kelly Cromwell is the new principal of St. James Catholic School, McMinnville.
She was born in Salem and spent her formative years in Sweet Home, where her parents and two brothers still reside. She is the daughter of Oscar and Denise Vasfaret.
She graduated from Linfield College with a BA in Elementary Education and began her teaching career in 1996 at St. James School. During that time, she received her Masters of Education degree and her Administrative License from George Fox University.
She lives with her husband Michael and their 4-year-old daughter Emma in Dallas where they attend St. Philips Catholic Church.
Cromwell enjoys spending time with her family, golfing, and reading. She is excited to begin her new adventure as administrator of St. James School.
