Joining in a two-decade tradition, 29 Sweet Home Junior High eighth-grade Achievement Award students spent Dec. 7 shopping in Eugene where they spent an average of $60 per child, a $20 increase over last year, for fire department Sharing Tree gifts.
Teacher Allen Buzzard credited junior high parents, teachers and staff whose cash donations and in-kind contributions will again help brighten needy children’s lives this holiday season.
