With three freshmen in its five-some, Sweet Home did not finish the match in the team scoring, which was won by Sisters at Mallard Creek on April 11.
The Outlaws had five players shoot under 100, though medalist honors were captured by Holly Ewing of Cottage Grove, who shot 84. Lindsay Reeve carded an 87 for Sisters for second, followed by teammate Alexis Wainwright in third (89).
Megan Moser was the top finisher for the Huskies at Mallard Creek Wednesday, shooting 52 on the back nine to finish with a 111, good for ninth place. Katie Nicholson was second for Sweet Home with a 130, followed by Tana Tyler (139), Janessa Van Epps (209) and Savannah McCallister (228).
“Megan Moser continued to play well, finishing in the top 10, Coach Jason Gorham said. “I was very happy with our freshman today. Tana Tyler dropped 21 strokes from her last time out and Katie Nicholson fired a 130 in her first match of the year.
“The girls are picking the game up very well and scores should continue to drop as they get more confident and the weather improves.”
Sweet Home is scheduled to play at Diamond Woods Tuesday, April 17, and at Agate Beach Friday, April 20.
