Sweet Home held its first skate rodeo, held at the skate park on July 10 following the Frontier Sportsman’s Holiday Grand Parade. About a dozen participants played “Skate,” a skateboard variant of the”Horse” game played on a basketball court, in which they attempted to mimick each other’s skate tricks. Prizes were awarded by Foster Lake Mall and the event organized by the Sweet Home Parks Board. Organizers are discussing holding another event within a few months.
