James Slater-Roth came to a stop in a ditch when his Polaris Slingshot, a three-wheeled motorcycle, slid off the side of Hwy 20 about 10:30 a.m. Monday Oct. 19, near Dew Road.
“He hit the water and it just pitched him sideways,” said Jason Bowen, who called 911 after he witnessed the incident.
Slater-Roth was not injured. He had his seat belt fastened and his helmet on.
Bowen waited with Slater-Roth and offered him a seat in his car to get out of the rain while he waited for a tow truck.
“Now I want to know if anybody is going to help me clean it,” Slater-Roth said.
