Two to 3 inches of snow was on the ground in Sweet Home Thursday morning, prompting officials to cancel school.
Sweet Home District No. 55 schools were pronounced closed just after 7 a.m. after an earlier announcement of a two-hour snow delay. East Linn Christian Academy classes have also been canceled.
A Little Night Music, a fund-raiser concert for the Sweet Home High School bands and choirs, is being postponed due to the closure. A new date will be announced, organizers said.
