Linn County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a snowmobile crash that killed a Lebanon man near Hoodoo Saturday, March 22.
Sheriff Bruce Riley said that at approximately 4 p.m. a crash was reported on the Santiam Pass, near Hoodoo, in which a 67-year-old man, George Elmer Eichner, was operating his snowmobile when he hit a tree. Eichner was part of a snowmobile club and was riding with a friend, Alen Lee Wargnier, 44, of Keizer.
