A softball clinic will be open to local girls ages 6 to 14 along with their coaches on Saturday, April 26, at the high school Activity Gym.
The coaches clinic will run from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The clinic is free, focusing on hitting and pitching.
The clinic for the girls runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a hitting clinic and defensive instruction. The cost is $20 for girls 9 to 14 and $10 for girls 6 to 8. The clinic will be held on the high school softball field. In the case of inclement weather, it will be in the activity gym.
High School Coach Steve Hummer will lead the clinic with his coaching staff and the high school softball team. Hummer, the 2006 Capital Conference coach of the year, has taken the Huskies to a 32-14 record as he enters his third season at the helm.
