Opening league play last week, Sweet Home’s softball team won two 10-run shutouts, and Brianna Hoffman pitched a perfect game, defeating Sutherlin 10-0 and Sisters 18-0 at home.
But the Huskies lost 8-2 to their toughest rival, Elmira, on the road.
Hoffman threw the perfect game on Wednesday.
“It was pretty exciting,” said Coach Shane Cochran. “She’s never thrown one before. She threw very well, and she’s coming along good.”
