Princess Stephanie Kragness knew when she was a little girl that someday, she wanted to be a member of the Sportsman’s Holiday court.
“I used to go to the parades and see the princesses and I knew that I wanted to represent Sweet Home when I got the chance,” Princess Stephanie said.
Kragness, 18, graduated from SHHS in ’04. She is the daughter of Tim and Barbie Kragness of Crawfordsville.
Princess Stephanie has a brother, Matt, 21 and a sister-in-law Sara, 20.
She earned a 3.74 GPA in high school and was active in cross country, track and field, National Honor Society, FBLA and was a cadet teacher at Foster Elementary School. She also attends the Riverside Christian Church.
Princess Stephanie enjoys helping with local Red Cross blood drives and the annual canned food drive at SHHS.
She enjoys scrap booking, sports, watching movies, hanging out with friends and shopping.
She believes that working with children at the elementary schools is one way she has helped improve her community.
Princess Stephanie will make a good representative for the community, “because I have lived here my whole life and love the area. I am a great role model, full of spirit and always have a smile on my face.”
A best friend would say of her, “Steph is always happy. She makes me laugh and is incredibly outgoing. She brings the best out in all of our friends.”
The best part of Sweet Home is that it is small and that closeness allows her to socialize with people wherever she goes.
Her hero is her grandmother Naomi Kragness because, “no matter what she has planned, she always makes time for her family. Every time I see her she brings joy into my life.”
If she could live in another time period, it would be in England during the Renaissance.
