Stacey Ray Rogers, 42, of Sweet Home died June 9, 2011 after a short battle with brain cancer.
He was born Nov. 5, 1968 in Lebanon.
He grew up in Cascadia and attended school in Sweet Home, graduating from Sweet Home High School in 1987.
He worked for Triple T Studs all of his senior year of school and continued working there until 1995 when he went to work for Oremet in Albany. He loved his job and the people he worked with.
He married Sherry (Allen) Rogers July 10, 1993. They had two children, Brianna and Devin Rogers, whom he adored. They later divorced.
At his death, Mr. Rogers was in a relationship with Sandra Cook. He loved her daughters Tonya and Katen.
His favorite pastime was riding his Harley; he also loved to go camping, fishing, ride quads and take the kids to the lake in his boat. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and loved teasing.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his children, Brianna and Devin Rogers; parents Walt Rogers and Janie and Jerry Berg; sisters Jody Berg, Donna McDougal and Megan Rogers; brothers Leland Rogers and David Rogers; grandmother Nona Rogers; girlfriend Sandra Cook and her daughters Tonya Cook and Katen Edwards; nephew Beau Rogers and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Michael Rogers.
Viewing will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, June 14 and 15, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. The family is planning a potluck picnic to celebrate Mr. Rogers’ life at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at Cascadia Park. Everyone is welcome.
