Astronomer Kevin Manning spent two hours explaining the astronomical wonders of the universe to about 20 people at the Sweet Home Boys and Girls Club Saturday evening, Aug. 23. The program “Astronomy for Everyone: Size and Scale of the Universe” was sponsored by the Friends of the Sweet Home Library, included a slide show and a telescopic observance of Saturn. Manning, a former NASA consultant, is from Long Island, N.Y.
