George H. Taylor, Oregon State climatologist and a faculty member at Oregon State University’s College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences will be the speaker at the Third Force for Forestry’s noon meeting at Bing’s Kitchen on April 16.
He manages the Oregon Climate Service, the state repository of weather and climate information. He is president of the American Association of State Climatologists, a member of the American Meteorological Society and has received certification as a Certified Consulting Meteorologist by the Society.
Taylor will talk about how studying weather in the past can help forecast the future. There will be time for questions and answers.
All meetings of Third Force for Forestry are open to the public. The cost of the no-host luncheon, which starts at noon, is $6.60, which includes tip.
