Steven Frentress, 46, of Sweet Home died Thursday. He was born to Thomas & Cosette (Wyneger) Frentress in Roseburg.
He lived in Myrtle Creek for four years, then Reedsport, and started school in Eugene. He later moved to Sweet Home, graduating from Sweet Home High School.
After graduation Mr. Frentress entered the Navy and traveled the world as West Pacific Admiral Chef for eight years. When he left the Navy he moved to California and started working with the Home Depot Store, where he worked for 11 years. While in California Steven met Shelley Johnson. Together they moved to Sweet Home to be closer to his parents.
Steven is survived by life partner, Shelley Johnson; parents, Thomas & Cosette Frentress; brother, Jay Frentress of Eugene; sisters, Jan Banks of Newton, Kan. and Cindy Person of Lebanon; nephews, Jessy Person, Chris & Jeff Banks; and niece Erica Banks.
