Some 2,000 children from Linn and Benton counties are participating this year in Salmon Watch field trips. Sweet Home Charter School fourth-grader’s tested Wiley Creek’s water’s oxygen level during on such field trip Wednesday, Sept. 17. At various stations Wednesday, the members’ teacher Debbie Rehart’s class learned about salmon habitat, the marine food chain, water quality and salmon spawning.
