The high school summer basketball team spent the last week winning about half its games.
The team is beating the teams it should, Coach Mark Risen said, “and we’re competing every game.”
The Huskies lost to Taft 59-47 and McKay 59-56 on June 6.
On June 11, they defeated South Albany 44-40 and Philomath 43-39.
Over the weekend, the Huskies hosted a tournament, losing to Elmira 58-41 and Seaside 43-36. They defeated Banks 62-34 and Sutherlin 66-31.
Tillamook won the tournament 57-49 over Rainier, and Coach Risen expects Tillamook to be a final four team next year.
