The Linn County Parks and Recreation Department is looking for summer help — 40 hours per week for four to six months, according to Adam Brenneman, assistant operations supervisor.
Pay scale ranges from $13.50 to $18 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Current open positions include:
Seasonal Park Ranger: Position assists full-time park ranger enforcing park rules, cleaning restroom, landscaping and making minor repairs. Skills such as knowing how to use a lawnmower, chainsaw or weed eater are helpful, but county will provide on-the-job training. $15.50 per hour.
Guest services: Picks up and empties trash, cleans restrooms, removes weeds and does minor maintenance. $13.50 per hour.
Cooks at Clear Lake Resort: The county needs at least two cooks at Clear Lake Resort. Fulltime, but hours can be flexible. Must have a current food handlers card. $16-$18 per hour. Housing at the resort can be provided.
Cabin cleaners and boat rental: Cabin cleaners and boat rental staff member are needed at Clear Lake. Both jobs pay $13.50 per hour.
