Suspects arrested in tire-slashings

Sweet Home police have arrested two suspects in connection with the slashing of tires of some 17 vehicles at 13 different households on Jan. 28 and Jan. 29.

On Feb. 20, police received information about the location of Joshua Robertson, 22, of Sweet Home, said Police Chief Jeff Lynn. Sweet Home police with assistance from Linn County Sheriff’s Office arrested him on four counts of first-degree criminal mischief at a Highway 20 residence just outside of Sweet Home.

On Feb. 26, Jason Alexander Dodge, 19, of Sweet Home went to the Sweet Home Police Department after he heard that police wanted to speak with him, Lynn said. He was arrested on four counts of first-degree criminal mischief.

Both were transported to Linn County Jail and have since been released.
