The Sweet Home girls soccer team closed out its season Tuesday, Oct. 29, falling 5-0 at home to Cascade.
Before kickoff, the Huskies honored their senior players for their contributions to the team. It was the last high school game for seniors Zoe Garrett, Peyton Markell, Emerson Martineau, Beatrice Reeve, Kirsten Sautel, Amelia Sullens and Samantha Pineda Villa.
Sweet Home did not go down quietly. The Huskies rallied and delivered a number of close calls that did not result in scores but kept fans on the edge.

Sweet Home finished the season 0-14 overall, 0-10 in the Oregon West Conference.
OWC will be represented in the 4A playoffs by North Marion, which won the league title with a 9-0-1 record, Philomath (8-1-1) and Newport (6-4). Cascade (4-6) finished fourth.
