The Sweet Home softball team (6-12) had a busy week, first playing at home versus Stayton (13-4), then playing away against Newport (3-15) and ending with the cancellation of an away game against North Marion (3-13). These games left the Huskies 1-1 for the week.

Their first game, April 22, was at home against Stayton. This game was hard fought, but ended 5-16. Girls during this game proved that even at a deficit, they would still give their all to get close to winning.

The very next game, April 24, was away against Newport. This game ended in favor of the Huskies, finishing 18-6.

Head Coach Emily Marchbanks did not reply to our inquiries for a statement. Stats were also not available for these games.

With the league season almost at its end, the Sweet Home Softball Team continues to hold up through it. They will be playing a home game, April 29, versus Philomath/Alsea (1-17). The team will then be playing away games to conclude the week, playing at North Marion (3-13), April 30, with an away game May 1, versus Cascade (16-3).
