Sweet Home Huskies Take Grand Champions At Oregon Elite Pre-State Championships – Headed To State Championships

In a dazzling display of skill, spirit, and pure athleticism, the Sweet Home Huskies cheerleading squad emerged victorious at the Oregon Elite Pre-State Competition held in Salem on Feb 4. The Huskies, with their unwavering dedication and precision, claimed first place in both the Traditional and Game Day routines, solidifying their dominance in the competition.

The intensity and passion were palpable as the Huskies executed their routines flawlessly, captivating the audience and leaving an indelible mark on the competition. But the pinnacle of their success came when they were bestowed with the coveted title of Grand Champs, a testament to their exceptional performance that set them apart from the competition.

A long day filled with intense competition and hard work didn’t deter the Huskies; instead, it fueled their determination. As the team basked in the glory of their victory, they echoed the sentiment that these are the moments they live for – the moments that define their commitment to the sport and showcase their unwavering team spirit.

Head Coach Amber Rosa commended the squad for their outstanding efforts, emphasizing the hours of practice and dedication that went into achieving this triumphant moment.

“This victory is a result of the hard work, unity, and perseverance that our team consistently demonstrates. The Huskies have set a high standard, and we are excited to carry this momentum into the upcoming State competition,” Rosa said.

The next challenge on the horizon for the Sweet Home Huskies is the State competition, where they will undoubtedly bring the same level of energy, precision and enthusiasm that propelled them to victory at the Gladiator Cheer Challenge.

The OSSA Oregon State Cheer Championships will be held at Oregon City High School Feb, 10 at 2:20 pm. From there the team will head to the USA Spirit Nationals Anaheim Convention Center; Anaheim California, on Feb 16-17.
