Paul Rowton Jr. of Sweet Home was recognized as LBCC’s Outstanding Part-time Instructor for his excellence in teaching math at the Sweet Home Center.
Rowton, who recently earned a master’s degree, teaches Math 20, 60 and 65 at the Sweet Home Center, as well as classes in LBCC’s College Now program for high school students at Central Linn High School, and he is a very popular computer instructor at Sweet Home, college officials say.
A reception for the outstanding instructors was held on April 15th at the LBCC Board Meeting, but Rowton was unable to attend as he was teaching at the time. He was presented his award in front of his students on April 27.
Among the 12 part-time faculty members also recognized was instructor Lori McNulty, who teaches classes in Sweet Home.
