“Both teams are doing exceptionally well, considering the lack of practice time,” said Coach Kim Armstrong. “Our A team includes some B team players who show significant improvement and are ready for some experience in a 5:1 rotation. Our A team continues to maintain a winning record with only one loss to date.”
A Team
On Sept. 28, Sweet Home defeated Stayton in three games, winning 25-12, 25-16 and losing 25-20.
On Sept. 30, Sweet Home won two of three games against Cascade.
On Oct. 5, Sweet Home defeated Mark Twain 25-14, 25-8 and 25-12.
On Oct. 6, Sweet Home lost 25-18 to North Marion and won the match by winning the next two games 25-21 and 25-23.
B Team
On Sept. 28, Sweet Home lost to Stayton 25-19, 25-17 and 25-14.
On Sept. 30 lost a match to Cascade, winning 25-21 and losing 25-15 and 25-23.
On Oct. 5, Sweet Home defeated Mark Twain, winning 25-22, losing 25-21 and winning 25-14.
On Oct. 6, Sweet Home lost to North Marion 25-23, 25-23 and 25-13.
Volleyball, Seventh Grade
“The girls have improved tremendously, and they are working well as a team should,” said Coach Kathleen Cochran. “I am very proud of the girls and the improvement they are making.”

On Sept. 30, Sweet Home lost to Cascade 26-24, 25-20 and 25-15.
On Oct. 5, Sweet Home defeated Mark Twain 25-17, 25-20 and 25-16.
On Oct. 6, the A and B teams combined to defeat North Marion, winning 25-23 and 25-20 and losing 25-21.
B Team
On Sept. 28, Sweet Home defeated Stayton, winning 25-20, losing 26-24 and winning 26-24.
On Sept. 30 defeated Cascade, losing 25-17 and winning 25-15 and 26-24.
