Although the majority of those who voted approved a new four-year levy to support the Sweet Home Public Library, the levy failed to achieve the needed 50% voter turnout Tuesday.
A total of 1,733 votes were needed and only 1,673 were cast.
Of those, 904 were in favor of the levy and 768 were against.
