Archbishop John G. Vlazny will ordain seven men to the Order of Deacon on Saturday, including Robert “Skip” Malone of Sweet Home.
The Mass of Ordination will begin at 10 a.m., and take place at St. Mary’s Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (NW 18th & Couch Streets) in Portland. Those being ordained will be permanent deacons meaning they are not continuing toward ordination as Catholic priests.
