A Sweet Home man was arrested Wednesday, April 8, on multiple sex charges, Sweet Home police reported.
Richard Duane Lippert, 72, arrested at 3:36 p.m. on three counts of sodomy I, three counts of rape I, three counts of sex abuse I and three counts of incest I.
According to court documents, the alleged incidents took place in 2017 and 2018, involving a victim under age 12.
Lippert was lodged at Linn County Jail, where he remained Monday with bail set at $100,000, according to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Sweet Home Police Sgt. Geoff Hamlin, the victim’s mother reported the situation to police. Hamlin said that because the case was still open with the District Attorney’s Office “and given its sensitivity,” he couldn’t say much.
