A Sweet Home prisoner died Sunday of coronary failure at Linn County Jail, according to Sheriff Tim Mueller.
Corrections deputies found Robert Allen Billings, 58, dead in his cell, Mueller said. Albany Emergency Medical Services responded to the jail at 6:35 a.m., but Billings was already deceased.
Deputies arrested Billings on Jan. 11 on four counts of first-degree sex abuse. He was awaiting trial while the investigation continued.
