Mayor Craig Fentiman received the presentation of Sweet Home’s 15th consecutive Tree City USA award Saturday at the annual Sweet Home Tree Fair.
Lee Vaughn with the Oregon Department of Forestry presented the flag to Mayor Fentiman.
Sweet Home is one of among 37 Oregon cities to receive the award this year, Vaughn said. Tree City USA awards are a symbol of a city’s commitment to having trees and caring for them.
