The Sweet Home City Council accepted a “clean” audit of its finances for 2011-12 during its regular meeting on Feb. 26.
“Grove, Mueller & Swank, PC, have issued an unqualified (“clean”) opinion on the city’s financial statements for the year ended June 30, 2012,” said the report.
Government agencies, such as the city of Sweet Home and School District 55, are audited annually by an independent auditor, who then issues an opinion. The report noted no deficiencies or material weaknesses.
“I thought it went fine,” said Finance Director Pat Gray. “Everything was out front. We passed all their internal checks.”
There’s usually something, but the city had no need for corrections, Gray said. The audit was as good as it gets.
Present at the meeting were councilors Marybeth Angulo, Craig Fentiman, Mayor Jim Gourley, Greg Mahler and Dave Trask. Scott McKee Jr. and Bruce Hobbs were absent.
In other business, the council:
